I’m in a group, and we kept making not-so-sly suggestions to each other and it sort of just spontaneously happened. One second our characters meet, the next we’re talking in the OOC chat about character A x character B. I love the ship, but neither of us went “hey, we going to ship it?”. That happens in our group a lot, and the ships never go through, or they only just get past the starting thread. (it also didn’t help that someone joined our group recently and went “HEY, MY CHARACTER AND YOUR CHARACTER ARE MY OTP”, which didn’t help things, but they just kind of poofed out of reality anyway now) I’m terrified this will happen to me, but I’m also terrified I’m the only one of us who feels this way because I can be a bit of a paranoid nutcase sometimes.

This doesn’t even have to be about OTPs but can apply to relationships in general, like about characters just being related to one another.
